Hello Everyone!
Welcome to the new Aloha Notes Blog =) It has been a while since we last wrote!
After some revamping of the old Aloha Notes into a quarterly 8-10 page pdf form at the beginning of 2008 we decided that in 2009 we would go electronic and try out the good ole message boards on our HAIP website.
While the first month seemed promising it soon turned out to be a futile battle in the world of cyberspace writing. With the inability to post photos and the absence of enthusiastic message board fanatics, the cause was lost.
Here we are now at the beginning of a new HAIP year, sorta. We’re actually three months in but never mind that =) We have a fresh new board of members and chairs with fresh new ideas. We also have this lovely WordPress to take advantage of =)
So, to pay homage to the Aloha Notes that everyone loved so much last year we are now bringing it back to you via blog media.
Why? Well with time being rather scarce these days and the need for instant gratification we found that most people didn’t like waiting 3 months for the next issue of Aloha Notes to be published. Others were either not getting their pdf forms via email due to multiple reasons or didn’t know how to view them…and to be quite honest, coming up with 10 pages of content every 3 months was harder to gather than one might think.
With our blog site we can post information daily or every minute if we want. We can post photos of events at our leisure right after they happen and if we read a cool story about the latest health craze, safety issue or insurance related topic we feel is applicable to our association, guess what? Yep, we can post it here.
All you need to do is either Bookmark this page or access it by following the link posted at www.haipro.org. It is that simple!
Enjoy your reading!
This came out great folks! I can’t view at work because of several layers of security, but can view at home. Nice formatting, great pictures, and informational write-ups!
Okay, I must confess, I have not been able to read this since it went live. BUT, love the idea, and now we just need to share… share…share information. Thanks Web-Mistress.
